How to Find Your Hair Type
Talking about the types of hair can be controversial, I know not everyone wants to put her hair in a category. And Of course, as soon as you put people in a group, someone will point out all the differences between individuals who have put together. However, it can sometimes be useful to describe yourself as a 4b or follow the example of someone who calls a 3a, knowing what works for her is likely to work for you too.
So , here goes …
Hair Types
The hair can be divided into roughly four types with some smaller subdivisions.
Write a
Straight hair with no wave or curl to it at all. Write a shiny coat and usually can sometimes be fat.
Type two
Wavy hair that I really could not be described as curly. Hair type two usually has a coarser texture than type a hair.
Type three
Hair type has defined three "S" wave or in a loop. When wet, you can straighten or shorten loops and a tighter curl as it dries. This type of hair is often thought of in relation with people bi-racial heritage.
Type four
Type four is winding hair and spiral. Serve as "O" or "L-shaped rings' or laps unlike the form of 'S' type three. This is the type most closely associated with Afro hair or African-American. This type of hair is thick, and usually has less glare than other types of hair as the curls and twists that make it difficult for the fat of the scalp to travel along the hair to the tips. The curves in the hair are also more fragile and prone to fracture. Type four hair tends to be drier than other hair types. It may seem hard, but that needs more attention!
