Retro Glam & Collegiate Charm: Two looks for fall
There are two looks – Retro Glam and Collegiate Charm – that seem to be the benchmark of trends fall from year to year. Slight variations such as tables, bubble skirts, short boots, high boots, colorful tights, black and similar mean only improve the looks of base.
This is what I look for when buying a retro glam or collegiate charm look:
- To dress glam retro, do not be afraid to wear vintage cuts in new and unexpected ways. If a print is a bit old fashioned for you, dress, skirt or blouse become a modern way. On the other hand, if the court of issue is very vintage, pair with modern accessories to avoid a costumed appearance.
- The jewelry is key for a look retro glam. A little goes a long way, and try to mix what you wear to do not appear in a straight line of fat, for example. Pearls would be too with this set, and you stop the retro-fitting dress and a long necklace, a chain of rock-and-roll.
- When it comes to glam retro sunglasses the bigger the better.
- Here's what to look for in shoes: a thicker heel (without heels), buckles, round-toes, vintage (gold, red, etc.) or muted colors, mary-jane styles or classic peep toe pumps.
- A scarf completes the retro glam outfit. Tie it loosely, or with a retro-style flipping one end on the shoulder.
- For some real lady coordination, use a clutch instead of your huge bag, leather.
- 50 / 60 style jacket tops the set. A little boxiness is a necessity. Search for large buttons or a peter pan collar. With more dresses and skirts, try a cropped jacket. If you are using something else short on the bottom, then make sure your coat falls slightly above the ring, but not too far.
Like what you're reading? So here are some tips for their next wave of purchases fall:
- Start off with an interesting blouse. It may be longer, like a tunic or a little shorter. Flyers are preferred, but not required. An impression is good too, but a solid color is easier to coordinate accessories.
- All the girls college worth its salt knows that some plastic framed reading glasses add a little peculiar charm.
- Some elements of bright colors in a range of coordinating colors to add some pieces of conversation for the whole team. See what well the colorful pants, bracelet and blue cardigan look together? The yellow of this bracelet is a bright color, yes, but it is surprisingly neutral.
- A long jacket, the godfather of the style used on the blouse helps keep you warm, but that is not the real reason I included it. Skinny jeans are difficult to share: If your top is too short, you end up looking very "hippy", or bottom-heavy, off-balance in the upper half. Use a cardigan as to correct and balance your collegiate charm look.
- A large, leather bag serves two purposes: one, it has to colleges – and academics So – looking toward our goal without seeming like a briefcase. And the second reason is that the bag adds a good starting point for the whole team neutral.
- Interestingly, Light-heeled shoes to accentuate the skinny pants: they are exactly what I'm talking about.
- An outfit with a bit of whimsy is not complete without an outstanding piece of jewelry like this bracelet snake.
- cigarette with color, instead of the classic denim washes are very fun and more easier to use than you think.
