Pioneer Prairie

In summer Breckenridge
As indicated in www.FirstLightSports.com
As my skis are gathering dust and mold in the basement going half crazy with withdrawal skiing. I can not seem to do much about my beautiful ski edges slowly crusting, but coming downhill? … well that's another story.
Leave your skis or boards only during the summer and head west to Colorado for fun summer. If you're thinking Colorado without 100 inches of snow is like music without a soul, you could not be more wrong. The music playing in the mountains a key a little different in the summer but remains powerful and attractive. The range of activities is a vibrant color spectrum ranging from the simple to the sublime.
This summer my family and I packed up the mini-van, loaded the bikes on the back rack and pointed west toward the nose beautiful Colorado. Driving from Wisconsin to Colorado offers what appears to bucolic scenes endless meadows, cornfields and other planes (really, really damn flat) landscape. It may seem like a scene from "National @ Lampoon's Family Vacation, "but I drove all the road-80 West spotless once Christie Brinkley in a red Ferrari convertible, and I assure you I've seen!
We sojourned in the small town of Frisco, CO in a condominium located in the center. Easy access to biking, hiking, and down right path of a major summer recreation areas: Breckenridge. You can access this gem in less than two hours from Denver after the I-70 (west of the Eisenhower Tunnel) to Hwy-9. The center of summer activities in Breck is at the base of Peak 8. There you can find the elevator that takes you up the mountain in any chair-5 or the Supergirl Colorado.
Less than two months after concluding its 39th ski season, the Breckenridge Resort marked the beginning of summer the opening of its peak 8 fun park. Resort officials say summer attractions in the Peak 8 have come a long way since 23 years ago when the resort opened slide the first Alpine state, nicknamed The SuperSlide, which is half a mile long from top to bottom. Other guest services include Amaze'n days Breckenridge, a wooden maze where participants compete against the clock, mini-golf course and barbecue SuperPutt the Alps.
Mountain biking, hiking and walking in Colorado Supergirl are available on Peak 8 and Peak 9 activities include horseback riding and mountain biking.
SuperSlide single trip ticket is $ 8 for adults 13 years and $ 7 for children 7-12 (children 6 and under ride free when accompanied by an adult.) Multi-ride tickets are also available. SuperPutt is $ 8 per person for adults, $ 6 for children; Amaze'n Breckenridge is $ 5 for adults and $ 4 for children for the first trip in the maze, the same additional visits maze days are available for $ 2 each. He rides in the Colorado Supergirl $ 5 individually.
The resort has over 30 miles of trails mountain bike skills ranging from beginners to experts. Bike rentals are new bikes with front suspension and both the full suspension. Rentals (including a bicycle helmet) from $ 12 for a front suspension bike and $ 18 for a full suspension bike. Bicycles for children from $ 8 per hour. Trail passes are available for $ 8 for single rides, $ 18 for all day. Children pay $ 6 for single elevator rides and $ 12 to lift all day and access road.
And for those who want to experience all the possibilities offered by different Pass is costing activity between $ 45 and $ 50 (depending on the week) allowing the holder unlimited use of SuperSlide, SuperPutt, and cycling in the Colorado Supergirl. The Breckenridge Fun Park is open from 9 am to 5 pm daily (last race on Supergirl Colorado at 4:30 pm). Once you lift your credit card, you are ready to strike the mountain and have a good time.
The SuperSlide is a set of three half-pipe tubes reached by the President 5. If you can imagine a bobsleigh two feet wide and-half-mile winds its way down a blue bike run in the middle of summer, you have a good image of the SuperSlide. The tracks are stratified into three general classes of "drivers": slow, medium, and fast. I love that you give readers a review of middle and lower slopes, but I just sat on the road quickly. Is there another way to live? Each runner is assigned a "sled" to test while in the metro, this is a really smart device, large enough to get her ass and feet in it. The only control you have is the sled speed stick, a small handle protruding between his knees. Control is simple: push – go fast, pull back – slow down, then just set the track. Leaning in turns helps maintain the speed sled and a sense of freshness that provides high-G.
A sleigh driven correctly can make the SuperSlide an adrenaline rush for the heart beat hard. At the other end of the spectrum, I saw the grandparents with their grandchildren ride the slow lane and having a great time, too. I saw a shipping corridor above the track with his knee in a hinge-brace, I wanted to applaud. Sure .. no total freedom of carving S-turns in fresh powder, but hey! It's summer. Relax and take a sleigh ride under Colorado beautiful sapphire blue sky. Would you rather be at work?
If there's a downside to SuperSlide would be that the lines for the elevator can be quite long. Longest I waited was about 40 minutes, and was for half the day. early and late in the day of the line for the elevator SuperSlide is almost nonexistent. So plan your day accordingly. When the lines for the SuperSlide start getting long, is the perfect time to take a set of wheels and head to the mountain to do some mountain biking.
Breck is a great bike rental service defined by each runner with a great bike for the trails. My wife and I suspension Total Gary Fisher and Cannondale bicycles and helmets (mandatory) and prepared for my first time on any mountain forever. Before the rent boys let out to anyone in tracks that require you to watch a short video. Although I think it is probably legal CYA thing for the town, which provided some good tips for routes Breck bike rocky and bumpy. Supergirl took the Vista Haus Colorado to where the elevator turned and prepared for the trip down. I chose the path Pioneer to handle, which is designed for all drivers as a beginner or intermediate. The Pioneer Trail is 3.7 miles long road with mostly rock and losing zigzags terrain fork. The great bike I had rented it crossed over the raw powder and slippery stones covered with dirt easily. As we make our way through the mountain tracks that wound through the courts open, shaded in the trees. The journey seemed difficult at first, but as I acclimated to the geography the tilt of my confidence and the race was easier.
A moment between gliding and cycling was spent on the SuperPuttm Breck, a small golf putt-putt at the base of the lifts. Although not a heart stopping excitement, it does offer some really needed relaxation time between sports mountain. Coincidentally there is also a sale of food, too. It is a style BBQ food: burgers, dogs, etc cooked in fresh air mountain, good enough to satisfy a hunger for height, and certainly conveniently located. Breck walk around you will discover breathtaking scenery and colorful mountain fields full of flowers. Be sure to take enough time to shed the shackles of their normal routine and really enjoy the atmosphere.
I'm glad that I had the opportunity to Breck in the summer. In addition to the wonderful activities immediately in the station of Breckenridge, there is a cornucopia of other things see and do in the area. Hiking and rafting are high on my list and I did not miss a thing. flatwater kayak is another very accessible activity for the inexperienced or the whole family.
In Europe, people refer to the time away from home and work as a "party" rather than a vacation. I like the concept, and consider my trips to the mountains in winter and summer holidays. The glory and majesty of the Colorado Rockies is a celebration of my reality in Wisconsin that includes work and other chores. Thus, the advice to my readers, go to the mountains. summer, winter, or anytime you can get away. Make your holiday special.
