Is there a film of Peter Pan, where Peter keeps Wendy?
Peter Pan is a sad movie. And I've never seen one where Peter ends up staying and grow.
The original ending of the play would only say that Pedro would return every year to bring Wendy back to Neverland for spring cleaning. The composition JM Barrie wrote a few years later (that neither Disney nor the live-action film included) had to return many years later, after Wendy had a daughter of their own, and having the * * to Neverland … and so on. The premise of the movie "Hook" is that Peter finally fell in love Wendy's granddaughter and decided to leave Neverland, grow, and become a father. He forgot about his life as Peter Pan, Hook but survived, and kidnaps their children to revenge. I will not spoil the ending for you, but you can see that the writers were trying to address some of the same ideas you're thinking.
