In ceremonial magic of the Western tradition, hands and fingers are used for various purposes among which is to trace symbols, sigils and signs in a consecrated or object. It is also used to banish, invoke and direct forces to certain purposes. In contrast to the adepts of ceremonial magic, stage magicians apply hands to entertain audiences with their many illusory tricks. They call this "sleight of hand," or "sleight of hand." In prestidigitation, the hands are used in various ways to deceive and confuse the eyes, and also in the mental orientation of attention from the audience. The saying that "hands are faster than the eye", is a popular cliché used by stage magicians.
While still on the topic of entertainment we must consider the applause. The palms in modern usage is an expression of joy, the agreement, an accompaniment to music, or the perception someone performing arts. Metaphysically, it is said that dispels ovation from the presence of angelic beings. These creatures do not like the light of the vibrations applause. From the occult point of view, therefore, clapping is regarded as a negative practice.
In dance, hand gestures are essential for transmitting or express symbolic messages and metaphorical meanings. They have a rich vocabulary and nonverbal storytelling that evoke our primary emotions and feelings divine. This can be easily seen and experienced in the hula-dance of the Polynesians. These dances and movements of the hand recount several myths of the earth that transports us to another world. In texts on Indian classical dance, hundreds of hand gestures are mentioned, along with descriptions of thirteen head positions, thirty-six of the eyes, and nine of the neck. In Indian dance based on the composition of Carnatic music, mudras are used, inter alia to: Raaga mudra, mudra Tata, mudra Aachaarya, Naayaka mudra, mudra VAMS, Biruda mudra, mudra Lakshana Grantha, Prabandha mudra, mudra Sthala, etc.
Although the poses many of the hands in the traditional dance may represent symbolic meanings, they are also functional in the sense that modify the morphogenetic field or auric the human body, and also plans regulate the flow of energy within the etheric body.
There are many forms of dance and dance-driven style different levels of the psyche. Basically, we can classify three types of dance originating from the subconscious, super-consciousness and the. Instinctive or primitive dance from the subconscious is well known and is shown men and animals. Most of these movements and gestures are usually awkward dances of courtship and mating of the release of repressed energy. Cultural dances evolved from these raw movements. They are a projection of what he understands the psyche of beauty, grace, form, rhythm, etc. The third category can be called mystical dances. They originate from the higher levels of consciousness beyond the reach of consciousness mind, but whose energy can be channeled through the physical body producing divine movements. Some forms of dance are the merger of the three classifications. The traditional dance styles of the eastern countries like India, Thailand and Indonesia are typical examples. In these dances are often formed mudras to alter the consciousness of the dancer and indirectly affect the consciousness of viewers. About 16 years ago the writer witnessed one of the traditional Javanese dance performed by a very talented young man. The dance was called "Kesadaran" or "consciousness." We fascinated from beginning to end.
Music often makes us move and influence our hands, feet and body consciousness. Why do this? For the reason, simply that musical energies have the power to possess our being and cause an altered state of consciousness that makes us lose a degree of control over our physical motor system. All beings are susceptible to the influence of music. Animals and plants are especially vulnerable. In Greek mythology often hear tales of Pan, the personification Nature, dancing to the rhythm of his mystical pan flutes, and all who heard him play also join in the fun, joy and revelry. Similarly, when the wise Greek Orpheus fiddled, dazzled everyone, even the stones listened intently.
In the Hindu stories of gods, as found in the Bhagavata-Purana and the Gita Govinda, Krishna is said to have charmed the gopis of Vrindavana or herders with their dance purple magic flute. Each gopi was so mesmerized and distracted by Krishna that he forgets everything else around it. Would thus become a single point that they believe were the only one present before their Lord. Obviously, music has the power to cause feelings of ecstasy.
The god Shiva is often depicted in iconography in a dance pose as Nataraja, or "Lord of Dance. "Representing the conscience of the aspects of nature, why Shiva participate in a cosmic dance? It is Shakti or divine energy, flows through his being and causes spasms and seizures at first, then the rhythmic movements in tune with the rhythm of the Cosmos. Amid the flames spiritual Shiva dances with enthusiasm, burning and transmutation of all the old outdated forms of cosmic life hinder progress.
In a microcosmic scale, a dance of Shiva also occurs to a professional mudras. spontaneous dancing may occur because of the awakening of the vital force in the lowest psychospiritual center of the etheric body. While the realization of the mudras of the doctor's whole being is moved involuntarily. The physical body may influence forward and backward, left and right or rotate on its axis. His hands move on their own circles, in the arches, in the figure-eight, in a biting up and down movement, or swing in a left-right or forward-backward direction, sometimes the hands are placed mysteriously in the different layers of the aura, or even at certain points of focus – in the chakras or energy centers the body. While Shakti is active, can also induce the physician to assume mudras unlearned. The energies invoked through mudras have an intelligence all their own institutions and who do their work through movements. They know what to do to balance, purify, transform, or integrate the celestial energies in the system phosphorus.
In the field of martial arts, the hands are used as weapons of defense or destruction. The "Tiger's Claw", the "Fist Iron, "" the drunken fist style, etc., indicate lethal forms of multiple hands can take to strike an opponent or ward to death. In contrast, the fine arts make use of the hands constructively and creatively to produce wonderful works of art, and writing and producing heavenly music. As Shiva's cosmic dance, the movements of Tai Chi, Pencak Silat, and other forms of self-defense are part of its origin in a source of energy in motion raised through of the extremities causing involuntary movements. These movements were observed later and become the different stages of the martial art discipline and training.
Some development systems metaphysics teach us to move the body in some way. Although this has an effect on the promotion of renewable energy in the body is not as effective in producing results when compared with the assumption of mudras that cause energy to produce all the natural movements of their own volition.
At the end of our hands clasped by the fingers, thumb on top, either right or left indicates that the dominant hemisphere of our brain. Psychology tells us that if the thumb higher law is logic or reason predominates in us, or if the left thumb, intuition.
The hands play an important role in empowerment of the mind to function optimally. Since energy radiates from the palms and fingertips are often unwittingly used as stimulators reconnect lost or weak bonds between the synapses of neurons in the brain. In the book Body Magic, a major work on esoteric man, Benjamin Walker describes how operations hands often attempt to improve the mental processes by certain locations:
"When the fingertips of both hands are placed together, a circuit is created with the brain that is believed to help thinking. People in deep thought often talk with the fingers clenched, as if unconsciously aware the need to establish a course to help your concentration. If a man wants to remember something you forgot, his hand instinctively touched his forehead with his fingers contact source of his thinking. "
From what has been written so far, it is clear that hands play a role in everyday life. This can also be seen in the way we have invented all sorts of expressions with respect to them. For example, "I lend a hand," "hands free", "mano a mano" "Old hands", "hands-on", etc.
The implementation of the Hands on the Spiritual Path
In the hands spiritual path used for the following purposes:
As an instrument of healing.
As an instrument of blessing and consecration.
As an instrument General Service.
As a teaching tool.
As an instrument of purification, invocation, prayer and fellowship.
**********
As an instrument of healing
Chakras or energy centers, are found throughout the body. There is a chakra that are in each palm. There is also a minor chakra in each fingertip. The size, activity, and the power of these chakras are dependent on several factors. One is the purity channel ending in subtle points of chakra. These subtle channels or etheric nadis transmit the life force throughout the body and can be projected outside the body through the hand chakras. Healers of various metaphysical traditions make use of the hands to transmit healing energy to break the glass or toxic embedded in the tissues. Since ancient Chinese doctors have been diagnosing the state of a person's vitality through the force sensors of the energy that radiates from the hands, the phalanges of the fingers, and the pulse at the wrist. Among the many systems of alternative therapies that make use of the hands is acupressure, shiatsu, chakra healing, Reiki, Contact Rosicrucian healing, Body Electronics, various forms of massage, etc. Like Jesus Christ, every initiative on the Spiritual Path is essentially a healer but can not advertise openly proclaim himself as one. When circumstances and requests need him gladly offer their services to those who suffer, provided that however, is not running, but the "father" in it.
As an instrument of blessing and consecration
Metaphysics taught and demonstrated through various experiments that can be verified personally by the skeptics who radiates energy out of hand. This energy can be used to magnetize objects, places, spaces and people for various purposes. The religious term for the magnetization is the consecration. Blessing is a form of consecration. It refers to the magnetization of a human being instead of an object with a spiritual force. In general, the act of consecration or blessing to try to increase the frequency of vibration or a person or object, or to boost energy with the certainty that would make him a psycho-spiritual generator that can influence their immediate environment in a certain way. Mental forms imbued with mental and emotional power tips are often attached to these blessings. Curses operate both in the same way as blessings, which, however, have negative effects. The curse of Tutankhamen's tomb is a classic example of this.
Where is the concern people in the act of blessing, metaphysical practitioner also seeks to create obstructive or congested energies prevent the person is aware of, or in communion with your Higher Self. Once this Purification is achieved the person possess a clear line of communication with their god or genius hidden and gain a greater sense of protection, faith and constant guidance the Most High.
In the act of blessing or consecration, hands work in harmony with the power of the spoken word to change the structure of the magnetic field people and objects.
As an instrument of general service
The hands are the tools of service and humanitarian aid. Spiritually and socially, applies in extending a hand to our neighbors, to those in need of basic necessities, comfort and consolation. In the spiritual teachings, karma yoga is often associated Active hands on giving without any thought of remuneration or recognition. This is a vital principle. The desire to serve humanity must come from the heart without thinking self or ego. Selflessness, devotion, and active service are important virtues that the spiritual aspirant has to embody and express in every breath time. When self-comfort, self-importance and self-aggrandizement are the only reasons for helping others hands then misapplied and any act carried place-is misplaced. spiritual disciples should not call attention to the fact that they are serving. The best service is done quietly in the shadows without fanfare or publicity. The Master Jesus explained it this succinctly: "Do not let your left hand know what the right hand is doing." Secretly, the left hand is used to receive the energies while the right hand is used to give them.
As a teaching tool
Teach a number of spiritual gurus ways. Dan teachings orally, in writing, telepathically, through example, symbols, theater, and the use of gestures. Hands can transmit a lot of information when used with knowledge. symbolic movements of the hands may represent the operation of cosmic laws and spiritual principles. It is said that picture is worth a thousand words. Sometimes the hands can say what the mouth can not. A touch of love says something that words are often equipped for. In Zen Buddhism, Guru often given shock treatments to his students with the use of hands. A blow to the head or a slap in the face at the right time and the psychological condition after intense meditation is supposed to cause a student suddenly apperceive the natural state of mind and therefore illuminates.
As an instrument of purification, invocation, prayer and fellowship
Perhaps the most common use of the hands in the religious and metaphysical spiritual work is its application in prayer. Basically, it requires no specialized knowledge. The hands are instinctively used when appealing to God, to the intercession of higher intelligences or used simply as gestures of adoration or reverence, as we instinctively scratch the front or pull the beard when we seek to awaken our mental powers. Hands can be together, extended, or assumed in any other manner that makes the heart while in silent prayer. The esoteric teachings, however, teaches various mudras or hand gestures that have specific purposes for the invocation of cosmic forces and spiritual beings. The liturgical formula "The Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Amen "in Christian tradition together with the push of the appropriate points in the head and body at the end of a sentence conveys a certain power to the etheric body when done correctly. However, the surface form in which it is made provides little of value. In Hinduism, the commissioning of hands on body parts with magical intent called Nyasa.
To contact the divinity within us we can apply various mudras which facilitates mystical communion. Mudras establishes a mental state in the mind and body that raises our consciousness of time, and disperses the etheric webs that protects the psyche of being prematurely bombarded by psychic / celestial energies. It aligns and unites our objective consciousness of the superconscious mind. An altered state of consciousness is easily accomplished using their hands in conducting mudras. Through mudras our communion with the supernatural call control. They open and close the portals of the higher worlds through the application of our will.
In ceremonial magic hands are widely used to guide and strengthen those forces in their own sacred place worship and practice. The symbols are drawn on the ground or in the air with the power that radiates from the hands and chakras to invoke and evoke the metaphysical cosmic forces. The avatar Sai Baba is often seen making gestures in the air. It does to the dispersion and cleaning the environment temperature and atmosphere of negative energies. The professional metaphysical or ceremonial magician uses his hands in the manifestation of certain things and conditions.
To conclude this article we would like to praise hands so we offer – the opportunity to grow and serve. The fingers and thumbs should not fight among themselves as to who is the greatest, as stated in some ancient fables, because they all have their place in the need to support us to pursue our dreams, fulfilling our earthly tasks and cosmic mission. The smooth operation of the fingers together and thumbs is a metaphor for the relationship and cooperation between the sons of men to express the will of God, and the fingers and hands manifests the will of its owner. The most noble is to extend our hands in friendship, in love and unconditional love.
