Why the witch of American folklore (Halloween) have a big nose?

It's almost as if they had a Jewish nose. " I am an Arab / Italian 7 I have a very long nose myself. I hate Halloween because I feel I look like a witch. Can anyone give me the story of why the witch is drawn with a big nose?

In many Eurocentric folklore, beauty was seen as good, and ugliness was seen as evil. A beautiful woman looked so fine and fair. Ugliness usually defined as large and dark. Big teeth, big nose, big feet, etc, were written so poorly, or evil. Most current folklore United States is based on folk tales of Europe. As I said in the first paragraph of beauty means that someone was delicate and fair. The upper classes were so delicate and fair general, and the lower classes were often larger. This is probably due to the fact that the lower classes had to work, while the upper classes did not. If a young woman in a lower class just got to be delicate and after working hard, of course those who believe that his beautiful and yes, if a prince fairytale ride passed by, he notice. Normal people feel jealousy, jealousy makes people do evil, and so you have a witch. We tend to lump people in groups, and that's where stereotypes come from. The Witches of Halloween to do with large warty nose is only a caricature of the stereotype. Another thing I would like add, Arabs and Jews were seen as villains in a lot of folklore that I have read, and could be one reason why you feel so unsafe. Having a long nose is fine. The differences are a good thing. If you do not want to be a witch for Halloween, be something else. I'm sure you do not look like the picture stereotype of a witch
