Cloak Renaissance
In Washington, DC, is actually a law that prohibits discrimination based on appearance?
I bought a wool coat in a Renaissance festival a couple of weeks. It was expensive, so I want to use it much as I can. I work at a military installation in Washington DC. It was cold yesterday morning, so I put on my coat. Over lunch, security pulled me aside and was about to escort the post until it was that worked there. He met with another officer last week and told me that if I kept wearing the robe, and I quote, "we will do our job and see to not keep yours." Yes, a guard security that is not my employer threatened to fire more of a garment. I did a little research on the DC law, and I read that prohibits discrimination DC based on appearance. Makes the law exists, and if so, which is DC Code? Does it cover the clothing? If so, the official did break the law? If so, What are my legal options?
I doubt that you have a case … Security officials had a legitimate concern, which could have carried a bomb or a weapon that cloak undead, which would make this case one of them just do their job rather than a case of discrimination.
