The term "haunted" makes us think in general a very old woman whose skin is gray or green, reading from a black bubbling cauldron that contains ingredients repugnant, saying a strange sort of charm and devil worship.
The fairy tales and Hollywood movies made in derivatives are generally responsible for the false idea of these characters just because it makes the film more exciting.
Witches are also frightening characters of Halloween celebrations. But what is the truth about them?
Basically, the term "Witch" comes from the word Wicca, Wicca wiccian or what all this means in reality "wise woman", "wise women in the plural form. There always have been people interested in learning the special virtues of medicinal plants, the course of the moon, stars and other planets, and many other aspects of nature.
In general, the witches are associated with a known earth-based religion: Wicca, but many others can be called "witch", regardless of that do not follow this particular religion. A large number of these people practice a hodgepodge of ancient pagan rites. These rites existed long before the advent of the Christian religion that gave rise to the term "witch" and launched the idea that those who lived under the cycles of nature is venerated church demon.
It was the Catholic religion, which introduced the concept of Satan or any other demon. The term "pagan" itself in really means "country people" – not devil worshipers.
Men may also be witches, but the term makes us think of women. There a misconception of the word that witches are supposed to be called "witch" – This is another of those Hollywood-driven ideas because the term has a line more virile.
"Witch" is a term of derision and contempt that was originally used by pagan people to describe someone betrayed his people and the ways of Nature. In fact, the term "witch" comes from Middle English "warloghe" and Old English "wrloga." The real meaning of these terms is "breaking the faith" or "traitor."
Everyone knows that witches are able to cast spells. "Spell" is a word actually derived from the Old German "Spiel" means "prayer." In essence, Christians, moslims, Buddhists, Hindus pray for a particular outcome, and that witches cast spells a certain outcome as well. The belief is that you can harness the power of force vital to bring the universe to be what I want.
As in any other religion, it is necessary that the witches set the mood and the mood in their practice. And so, to use some tools in order to cast spells as the athame – a ceremonial knife, the Book of Shadows (book of spells), aromatic oils, herbs, etc.
While witches are supposed to be bad for a lot of people, the truth is, whether or not anyone is good or bad depends on the individual. Witchcraft is neither black nor white, but simply is and how it is used depends on the user.
And in witchcraft, as is the case in many other religions, we can not do what we want for as long as it does not hurt anyone.
"Because as Send, so return it to you three times times."
